Ava Xian is twenty-two months old today. Happy monthly birthday! At twenty-two months Ava has been turning on the words (especially this past month), likes to do the splits, will now let me put ponytails in her hair, and has started to give mom and dad nice overbite-like kisses. She's a wonder!
Ava and I got the chance to meet up with one of the other adoptive families from our travel group last Saturday in Welland. They live in Ottawa and were down our way visiting relatives. It was so fun to get together with Helena and Dominic and their son Konrad and daughter Santanah. Konrad was only just getting over a pretty bad cold, poor guy. Santanah is a couple of months younger than Ava but she almost seemed like the older one. She's just a bit taller, could pretty much sing the ABCs song, and she's also pretty much toilet trained! Way to go, Santanah! What can I say but we've all got the most beautiful (and handsome) children.
We also had our 6 month post placement interview done with our social worker last week. We've got to send one in at 6 months and one at 12 months and then we're done with the followup for China. We had to put together a photo collage of the past 6 months. Reminded me of countless elementary school projects.
Can't believe Ava will already be two years old in only two months.

Can't beleive that's our little hall mate Santanah with all of that hair. She and Ava look so sweet together. I'm glad you had such a nice visit.
