I love New York!

We celebrated the second anniversary of our Forever Family Day in New York. (Happy Family Day, Group 253!) Rob had to go to a seminar there in early March so we took a little family trip. It's pretty clear Ava is a big city girl. She loved watching the people and taxis, she directed traffic from her stroller with her Hello Kitty-mittened hand, and she critiqued my technique for getting the stroller up curbs every time we crossed the street.

As you can see by her bare tummy, the weather was perfect. She and I strolled to the zoo in Central Park. We also went to FAO Schwartz, but she was more interested in the escalator than the toys. I finally convinced her to choose something, and we came home with a large polar bear like the one at the zoo and a photo of Ava with the toy soldier doorman. Click here to link to more photos.




Since our last post, we've been to three birthday parties—first Hannah's, then Katie's, then Pippa's.




And somewhere in between we went to a Chinese New Year party. Ava (the pussycat) laughed in the lions' faces while some of the other children cowered under the table. Great big fun! Happy Year of the Tiger to all!
